lyrics
Memories of my own shadow covering my face
While I was drowning you were even in a darker place
Still you reached out to me, when my hell just broke free
And I know that whatever I'll do, I don’t want to lose you
Raging fire blizzard almost burned me to the bone
Years of being isolated turned my heart to stone
Then you looked in my eyes, crumbled all that’s inside
Please believe me all I say is true, I don't want to lose you
You know how life is, struggling with pain
Sometimes we will go insane
Failures and shame and everything is to blame
But we will always be the same
Violent winds are blowing breaking many branches off
Although the tree is wounded still the roots are growing tough
You know I can break down, stuck my head in the ground
Promise me that whatever you'll do
Never let me lose you
I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie
This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
It's a great blend of different metal genres and styles, with great solos in basically every song, just that touch of oriental influences that feel natural but not artificial and above all else, performed by the beautiful, haunting voice of Jelena Dobric, who uses it in a way that is not the typical operatic approach as we are used to from other female-fronted bands wormys_queue
